Today is the 22nd of November. It is Thanksgiving Day in the United States and in Canada.! In the Philippines, there are many reasons why we should also celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

1.    Noynoying, our country's proud original, is becoming rampant. The new body that has officially adapted Noynoying is the justice system. Until now, the justice system has nothing to present us regarding the Maguindanao Massacre. We will hear about the newest development of the case when the Philippines becomes a state of the US.

2.    We now have a new Supreme Court Associate Justice. He is our favorite Dean Marvic Leonen. He is a top peace negotiator, who unbelievably does not work as a radio disk jockey or TV show host after his public duties. The president considered him for his skills in dealing with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). He will soon be dealing with One Direction to convince the boy-band to come to the Philippines for a one-night-only concert! He said he is going to be independent. Yes, and look at his YELLOW ribbon!

3.    For the nth time, earthquake hit our poor country. For the nth time, typhoons hit our poor er country. Poorest Philippines! But at least, Manila was never bombed by Israel.

4.    The senate is working fast. Now the Senate is able to define “adolescence”. Good job for such a major accomplishment that will benefit everyone! We hope the definition of the word will feed thousands of hungry, homeless, and loveless children in Payatas, Manila.

5.    In my dream last night, China expressed that she won’t go to war with the Philippines. We know the result if China declares war against us, and send high-tech grenades with 12% melamine solution.

6.    If the Mayan calendar is really honest with us and that the world is ending this December 2012, Philippines would be the first country that will be saved by God. Because we have been praising Him even while we are inside government offices.

So let us all celebrate Thanksgiving Day today, for tomorrow is Christmas Day. Let's eat something like this:
