Before Christmas, Juan Ponce Enrile was a tough Senate President who seemed to save the former ChiefJustice Renato Corona but did not. When Christmas arrived (and left), JPE turned into a stomach-less Santa Claus.

As confirmed by senators, the head of the house gave away cash gifts. He should have also given us iPhone 5 as Christmas presents!

According to JPE, he really gave away P2.2 million each to 18 senators last Christmas, except Miriam Defensor-Santiago, Antonio Trillianes IV, Pia Cayetano and Alan Peter Cayetano who received P250, 000 each. The numbers are grossly fishy!

He defended himself by saying the gifts were from the savings of the Senate. The savings were distributed by Santa JPE. All those who were nice to him received high shares, while the four bad hobbits got less.

Senator Santiago is mad (again?) at this controversy. She said she returned the amount her office received, and that she wanted the Commission on Audit to probe government “savings”.

Political Predictions for 2013: Year of the Snake

1.    Since it is the Year of the Snake, more and more politicians will have mister$$es. May umahas sa relasyon nila!

2.    The lucky color is emerald green. One party-list will use this color to gain luck to be able to win in the election.

3.    TV stations will identify who among the politicians should be voted for. These politicians will appear on TV, mostly during commercial breaks.
