Do you remember your old friend- the old Nokia 3210 that has been buried in dust under your bed? With Globe’s Project 1 Phone, your Nokia 3210 can help build schools for our children in Aklan.

Just any other companies in the world that has a big, big heart, Globe Telecom keeps on sending blessings to people affected by Typhoon Yolanda last year, in hopes that our brothers and sisters there will recover fast from the nightmare.

The Project 1 Phone is a new effort that does not demand you to send an amount of money or donate a day of your life just to say that you are making the difference.

With the charitable project, all you need to do is to check your precious baul. Hunt for all your old cell phones, tablets, radios and computer sets that you no longer need.

Bring your old gadgets to Globe centers and participating establishments. All of these phones and gadgets will be brought to TES AMM, a company that recycles phone casing, wire, battery, keypad and other parts of any gadget.

The old phones are recycled into new materials that will be used in assembling your future phones. Instead of spending for the production of new phone parts that are usually extracted from our natural resource through mining, our old phones are processed to create new phone parts.

Of course, the old phones that you donated will be turned to cash. And 100% of the proceeds will be used to build new schools in Aklan. You are not just helping save the environment, you are also playing a crucial role in bringing back the lost hopes in the heart of our children in Aklan.

You may now check every corner of your house and garage. For sure you will see the memorable phones and gadgets that were a part of your love life because it was  one of those phones that made you so close with your other half. Remember? Now, it is time for the old phones and gadgets to find their new home- on the hopeful grounds of Aklan in front of kids who are eager to learn a new letter in the Alphabet.

You may also talk to your Boss if you can collect the old phones of your office mates for the project. You can place a simple trash bin for your workmates, friends and passersby. Globe will be happy to help you with the trash bin. Just email them at bridgecom@globe.com.ph.
