In Filipino tradition, it is expected to be with the whole family in meeting Christmas and New Year.

But not all the time, we have the luxury of time and money to come home for Christmas Eve exchange gift and New Year’s Eve bonfire.

As adults, Christmas means money whether we like it or not. Although some see it as an opportunity to be with our family, the bonding moments require a thick pocket.

I had the choice to go home and be with my family in Sagada but convenience does not approve of it. I have emails and phone calls to wait, and it would be difficult to travel back to Metro Manila when I receive these in the middle of my homecoming.

To cut the story short, I decided to stay in Makati for the Christmas and New Year. Before Christmas, I was in contact with my blogger friends to make myself occupied.

Honestly, I was too depressed that being alone is the more adult-sounding decision I could have this merry season.
