When I transferred to Paranaque City, I told myself to maximize my stay in the suburb city in the south. Aside from the more pure wind banging against my cheeks when I go jogging in the late hours of the day, I want to taste signature food of this humble city.

To get to Tea Life within BF Homes from Lancris Residences where I work, had to wait for a trike to reach Valley One. I took a jeepney ride before climbing up another trike.

Tea Life is both a coffee and a computer shop. Thus, you can drink a cup of tea while checking if your friends have commented on your new Facebook profile.

As a child, I grew up knowing tea is not just for the British and Chinese. Even my Igorot folks drink tea in the morning to start jumpstart the day. My mother Lourdes uses lemon grass, wild mountain shrub, rice, pandan, and other types of ingredients that are indigenous in our Sagada courtyard.

At Tea Life, tea is served as the ordinary tea in mug or as frappe that is perfect this summer season. All of their ingredients like Green, Thai and Black are imported from the US and Taiwan.

They also serve strawberry and blueberry frappe. One more thing, they use non-dairy sugar making it safe for those who are lactose intolerant.

My favorite so far is the lychee frappe.  I promise you, every slurp of the frappe makes me believe I am feasting on real and lychee fruit.

Since I do not go to a place without having a rice meal, it is unexpectedly great to know they also serve rice meals. To know more about the healthy servings of Tea Life, you know what to do.

Tea Life: A computer shop, too!
