How We Spelled F-U-N at Blogapalooza 2014
After Blogapalooza 2014 was canceled due to a recent typhoon that left some places in Mega Manila flooded, the country's biggest blogger event push through on October 11.

As a newbie in the area, I thought it was must-go event to meet bloggers and brands that are based in the country’s capital region. And I was more than correct.

Blogapalooza 2014 was a big pitching event organized by When in Manila for more than half a thousand bloggers and more than 35 companies. Throught the day at SM Aura in Taguig, we went from one company booth to another asking what they offer to the public and why they need a special space on our blog.

Most companies are undeniably new to me but have promising offers to consumers. Others are too familiar that bloggers want to skip them to attend to more interesting names.

I was with my super genuine friend Vanj Padilla. Surprisingly, we saw Dean Cuanso of Watwat World who came all the way from Baguio.

At the end of the day, we were holding bags filled with freebies from the different companies. Some companies were generous enough to offer us coupons and sample products (that was what I expected of the event).

After I collected flyers and media kits from the participating companies, I am now planning to open a website that gives reviews to these companies. I admit that this personal blog has already been-commercialized and I want it to revert back as an extension window to my day-to-day activities as an Igorot, as a PR man, as a dreamchaser, as a satirist, as a political animal, etc.

Let us take a look at the things that happened during the Blogapalooza event. These are just random pictures we've taken that will prove to you how fun the event was!

Blogapalooza Fun: Yellow Cab distributed pizza to everyone. A slice of pepperoni pizza for me!

Blogapalooza Fun: Ironic! Victoria Court should want us to be quiet when availing of their services.

Blogapalooza Fun: Bonsey Jaden is a digital media agency that brings brands to a higher level of publicity.

Blogapalooza Fun: Have you ever drank a cup of coffee with glutathione? Whitening products no longer appear as tablets and soap. I wonder if manufacturers can also mineralized drinking water with gluta elements.

Blogapalooza Fun: We got a key chain from Crocs.

Blogapalooza Fun: This booth games. In fact, we played a game and I got it correct. The game challenged me to identify the era when Egyptian Queen Cleopatra was crowned.

Blogapalooza Fun: Vanj, alongside other women bloggers, signed up for Sample Room. They were given beauty products afterwards-- although Vanj need no beauty products because she is already beautiful (wink).

Blogapalooza Fun: Girls line up to get a pic with the Chooks to Go mascot.

Blogapalooza Fun: Caronia has given us a set of nail polish, reserved Marianne when she comes down to Manila again. I just love how Caronia is associating their name with colorful ballet. So classy!

Blogapalooza Fun: Victor Basa and Divine Lee, endorsers of Flawless also appeared on stage. Maxene Magalona was also there and all I can say is that she is a real beauty.

Blogapalooza Fun:  Get ready for Niu by Vikings! We had a short food sample at their very expensive buffet.

Blogapalooza Fun: At Niu by Vikings booth, Vanj thought I was taking her pic. Actually, she's wrong and she knows why.

Blogapalooza Fun:  Because everything was really fun, Zomato had me write their company name on any part of my body as a game. Seriously? Thanks goodness, I was not that naughty that time!

Blogapalooza Fun:  Acer had a huge booth that allowed bloggers to follow them on social media, take and print photos, and get freebies.

Blogapalooza Fun: Imagine someone famous in front of you and the only thing you could say is, "May I take a photo of your ID?".

Blogapalooza Fun: To seal the day, we attended the food sample at Niu by Vikings (this is my third time to mention them in the blog post). I was talking with my friends Vine and Abi and we promised to have a taste of this buffeet one time even if it means we have to sacrifice a lot of meals for this buffet!

I hope to attend more events around the metropolis. If you have one, just email me at christianaligonow@gmail.com
