What's the Healthy Recipe for the Skin?

I could not forget one evening in Baguio when a friend of mine, who has been an activist ever since we were in college, told me one truth about looking the most beautiful.

Before you launch your quest to lose weight and develop a glowing skin, she said, you should be happy first.  I felt it was not her-- this person who has been angry at everything not just the government talking about becoming happy?

I thought it was just the beer we were drinking or the show we just saw at Camp John Hay Theater that evening. But she was not drank, she just gone wiser than I am.

Yes, happy. That four-letter word that that has been underrated, because we always think of how people perceive us without thinking of how we feel about being ourselves.

So before trying to look best, the first thing to do is to find happiness. Here's some things to consider to become happy.

First, fulfill your goals.

I am sure you have aspirations for yourself and your family. I am also sure that every time you get a check mark on your bucket list, you glow brighter.

Didn’t you notice that you do not shine whenever you fail?

Second, exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet.

Exercising really works as sweating is good for the skin. Even a 10-minute brisk walk do great wonders to the skin.

The best thing nowadays is there are 24-hour gyms around the town so there is no reason not to be physically active.

Aside from exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy diet also speeds up the process. So fill your fridge with fruits, veggies, and other good foods not just for the stomach but now for the skin.

Third, be positive.

I know it is not easy to be positive especially when you are in a toxic environment.

From one management training I have attended, I learned that how we react on a certain incident is based on the message that we tell ourselves. Thus, we should train ourselves to always interpret every incident towards a more positive outlook.

For instance, when someone is always late, we should not tell ourselves that that person should be punished. Instead, we tell ourselves that that person may need our help.

I think this explains why most villains do not have a good skin. Being positive all the time brings out the youthful glow in the skin.

Now it is easier to work on a skin that is worth flaunting. Proactiv has developed the 3-Step Clear Skin System. The system uses the Smart Target technology to deliver anti-acne formulation directly to the pores.

Step 1: Skin Smoothing Exfoliator.

After washing with a facial cleanser to remove dirt, oil and other impurities, apply the exfoliator on damp skin. Give the face a two-minute massage before completely rinsing with warm water.

Step 2: Pore Targeting Treatment.

The blemish-fighting solution is directly applied on the pores by spreading it evenly all over cheeks, forehead nose and chin. Leave on face until full absorption.

Step 3: Skin System repairs the skin with the Complexion Perfect Hydrator. The moisturizer heals redness, helps diminish awkward acne marks and brightens skin. Apply on face until full absorption. Reapply during the day as needed. Don’t forget to put sunscreen if you need to go outdoors.
